Subject: Re: funny travel story
I don't know if this is the funniest story going, but it was certainly funny at the time. Last February my 5 year old daughter and I were flying to Florida. It was only our 2nd time flying. And to top it off there was a terrible snow storm the night before. Just about all flights were cancelled but for some reason...our flight was scheduled to take off.
There was a lot of tension on the plane. I think everyone was apprehensive. No one was chatting or anything. So we're sitting in silence as the plane goes down the runway and finally starts taking off.
All of a sudden in a very, very loud voice my daughter starts singing "Well, before I'll be a slave, I'll be buried in my grave, and go home to my Lord and be FREEEEEE!!!!" Man, did I panic! She had this big smile and (thankfully) everyone on the plane started laughing so hard!! It was so funny and she became the 'star' of the flight!
