Dear Julius:

I read about your visit to Hua Hin - where we plan to spend 6 days in Dec. My wife likes beaches and a quiet relaxing place to unwind. Would Hua Hin meet this requirement? Is the area clean or slummy? Crowded & Noisy? Are there lots of natural attractions nearby? We've got a guest house lined up for about $300 baht with meals.

We considering spending some time in Krabi... perhaps even taking the train from Hua Hin to Krabi area. This would be a long ride. Is 1st class on Thai trains pleasant?
