There are many hiking trails in the North Central mountains and mesa's of New Mexico. In the area surrounding Taos, NM, one can hike into the Rio Grande Gorge, raft the Rio Grande, bike the Enchanted Circle (80 miles - 3 - 9000ft passes), hike Wheeler Peak - 13000+, NM's highest mountain, and check out the many other sights of the Sangre de Christos.

There are many other historical, cultural, native American, and artistic sights in the Taos area. I'd be happy to supply you with further information about the area. That can include lodging, shopping, eating, hiking, or other informational needs.
