I was very disappointed to see that you would allow such a shallow piece of writing appear at your site.

HI, my name is Slawomir And yes I'm a Pol. I hate how you described poland as Gilligan's island. We are the strongest economic country in Eastern Europe. To make your false story true there is no Nuclear Plants anywhere in Poland, the only eastern European Country to have no nuclear plants. You are making Poland look as place that doesn't fight back. But for your information we as Pols are a proud people. If it wasn't for us you would be saying "Hi Hitla". Who do you think stopped the cold war, first solidarity and Don't forget the Pope. If you don't know the history of our People then don't write crap on the net. I have dealt with bigger smart asses than your self before.
The guy drinks Budweiser, no wonder he was unhappy. I bet he would like a MacDonalds in the town square. Or maybe on the Champs-Elysee.
July 95 I spent 2 weeks in Poland, visiting Krakov and hiking for 9 days through the Taltras in the south. I found the people to be friendly, the legends entertaining and the scenic mountains with their hut to hut system, all to be part of a memorable experience. One of the facets that I enjoyed most was that I did not run into any other American travelers, I experienced Poland for what it was--and that was good enough for me.
